Do you like bread? cheese? garlic?

If you do, you are in luck with this super simple, maybe not the healthiest, recipe. Goes great with soup (check out my fave Tomato Soup) , steak, or as an appetizer.

INGREDIENTS:

Tube refrigerated biscuit dough (16 oz can, 8 biscuits)

4 oz mozzarella cheese cut into cubes (I use string cheese as I have it on hand!)

4 Tbsp unsalted butter

1 tsp Italian seasoning

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp salt

2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley for serving (optional)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Open up the biscuit can and separate out the 8 biscuits. Place a mozzarella piece in the middle of each biscuit. Fold the dough up and around the cheese and then roll into ball.

Place biscuits on a non-stick or lined cookie sheet and place in middle rack of the oven. Set timer for 10 minutes. Note: depending on your oven you may need a minute less or a minute more. Keep a close eye on your dough. You want them to have a nice golden brown color but just a minute too long and you'll have burnt biscuits on your hands.

While the biscuits are cooking, place your butter and seasonings in a microwave safe bowl. Cook for 45-60sec until melted. As the biscuits come out of the oven, brush eat one with the melted butter mixture.

Serve the biscuits warm while the cheese is extra gooey and oh so satisfying. For presentation, you can sprinkle the tops of the biscuits with a little fresh parsley (optional).

enjoy!
